This is ME

I was born in Malta and I remember a time when I was 10 years old and my parents decided to move to the UK. This was a big change for us all from living in the family guest house business, my parents ran by the sea, to initially living in 2 rooms at the top of a guest house in Victoria, London. My family’s journey was not straight forward but my parents ensured my brother and I never forgot our Maltese roots, which we are both very proud of.

This forms a small, yet very important part of my WHY and is something I am always willing to share more details on. Just book “ A Coffee On Me” call to find out more.

I'm married to Mari and are proud of our two boys Edward and Stefan both in their 20's. I enjoy travelling, seeing new places and absorbing the culture, especially in warmer climates! You will also see me on a tennis court, golf course and underwater scuba diving. Whilst I follow football, you will have often found me on the rugby touchlines watching Saracens too.

I am also proud to be a Trustee for the charity In Sue’s Name, helping to raise awareness, funds and support for anyone suffering from the effects of brain tumours. Our target is to raise £1 million by 2027 in order to provide crucial research funds to support the Blizard Institute in Whitechapel – the Brain Tumour Research Centre of Excellence at Queen Mary University of London.


I am the Managing Director of mc square marketing, a marketing agency I established in 2004, to help businesses stand out from their competition through creative marketing ideas that deliver results. My team’s experience in hospitality marketing, as well as other fields, has helped us achieve success for both our clients and ourselves, including winning the National Fish & Chips Award for Marketing Innovation with Poppies Fish & Chips Restaurants.

Prior to mc square I was fortunate enough to have had a successful career in Marks & Spencer, spanning 20 years. I went from being a Saturday Sales Assistant to my last position as Head of International Marketing for the International Franchise Group. This was a journey I am truly grateful for and I believe lay the foundations for my learning and success.

My other passion is getting results from building strong business relationships with people and have been active in BNI (Business Network International) for over 17 years, 11 years of these also as a Director Consultant in the UK and Ireland. As a member of the BNI Director Training team I have also had the privilege to deliver business development skills workshops internationally. I love nothing more than sharing my experience, knowledge and success stories of referral marketing activities and seeing delegates absorb the content and ready to put it into practice.

In 2017 I travelled to California to get a full understanding of the amazing Referral Marketing coaching programme of Asentiv. Having fully immersed myself in what was on offer, directly with the founders of the business, I was also then accredited as an Associate Coach.

I returned to the UK “buzzing” with the huge learnings and potential to help others, as well as applying the principles and process to my own business. Wow! I actually thought I knew how to network effectively, but I soon realised I was only touching the surface and possibilities.

I built my strategic referral marketing plan and I now understood the power of my ECC (Emotional Charged Connection), I created a clear Vision and Mission and was able to grow my business through the network of amazing people I had around me. I now get referrals I actually am looking for and ones that are 99.9% converted!

In addition, a key personal action that is seriously contributing to helping me achieve my Vision and my further success, was the decision to invest in a business coach for myself! Thank you Phillip Burton.


Many people often call me the Einstein of Marketing, which I humbly appreciate. However, I see myself simply as a Doorman. A business doorman to help open doors of opportunity for my trusted network of people, who I chose to have around me and engage with. These people will also share in my core values:


Why the Doorman expression? This goes back to my Papa working in the hotel industry and how he too would always go the extra mile to help his guests. Ask me more about this in our discovery call.

It is through this approach and my own business and life experiences, both good and not so good, just being realistic, that I am thankful to be able to further help business owners maximise their opportunities, in whatever way best suits them as an individual. To open doors that lead to working with the type of clients you actually want and like to work with and just as important, to ensure you have time to do the things you really want to do and enjoy doing!
